Harry Abilla and I went to see the submarine USS Cavalla at the American Undersea Warfare Center, Galveston, Texas. My first and only time to see the insides of a real submarine of the US Navy. Brave students took turn experiencing the effects of static electricity on their bodies. The Von de Graaff Generator could reach voltages as high as 100,000 volts in this demo.
